"Dream More, Learn More, Care More, Be More!"

According to the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation, since the inception of the Sullivan County Imagination Library, a total of 289,912 books have been delivered to area preschoolers. Thus far, 5,252 children in that region have graduated from the program.

Over the last several years, many organizations including the Literacy Council of Kingsport, Kingsport Tomorrow, the Kingsport Rotary Club, Girls Inc., the Junior League, the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA and Northeast State Technical Community College have all pitched in with the goal of improving reading skills and literacy among children and adults.

The tradition of helping individuals, communities and causes represents the very best of Tennessee’s legacy of volunteerism. It is a tradition that remains alive and well, particularly during the holidays!
