Dolly Parton and her Imagination Library make big news in Scotland

"When I am on tour, we are in and out of a town so fast it doesn't leave much time for anything else. However, this is very important to me and I am so proud of our partnership with the Scottish Government and the Scottish Book Trust.
They love kids as much as I do and we share a belief that if we do what is right for children now, they will do what's right the rest of their lives."

The Danville Public Library, Danville District 118 and United Way of the Danville area will celebrate a summer of reading from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday on the library lawn during the Farmers’ Market. The event is for children and their families.

At 9:30 the Children’s Department will offer stories and crafts for the children who participated in the “Midsummer Knight’s Read” program. At 10 a.m. will be a celebration of the children who participated in the Danville District 118 Accelerated Reader summer reading program.
