Hundreds of community leaders from the U.S., Canada and U.K. involved in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library have converged this week in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., to dream more, learn more, care more and be more at the biennial Homecomin’ conference supporting the entertainer’s early childhood literacy program.
Sessions on Wednesday and Thursday focus on topics that include best practices, research, service club partnerships,
United Way involvement, social media usage, communication and child development. Representatives from local Imagination Library affiliates also share their successes, strategize over their struggles and celebrate the program that sends a book a month to more than 650,000 children under the age of 5.
