Just a few years ago, the idea of an online social network was revolutionary. Developing a system to reach out to an international group of people who share common interests is now easier than ever, thanks to Facebook. Affiliates within Dolly Parton's Imagination Library have provided opportunities for individuals all over the world to express their thoughts about the program.

Proud to announce over 5,000 people have united online... including families who love receiving the books each month and those who would like more information on how to start a program in their area.

Sharing news stories and photos from recent events help to create awareness as well as promote fundraising for childhood literacy. On March 25th, CBC news in Manitoba produced a story about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library launch in Rolling River. On April 15th, the Middletown Community Foundation celebrated the 10,000th Imagination Library book being delivered to a newborn in Middletown, Ohio. Open discussion forums and "wall posts" such as these continue to appear on Facebook every day.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, expanding in The United States, Canada and The United Kingdom, is pleased to announce that new communities are launching the program and continuing to promote early childhood literacy for families across the globe.

Looking to start something like this in your area?

Here’s how it works:

A community must make the program accessible to all preschool children in their area. The community pays for the books and mailing, promotes the program, registers the children, and enters the information into the database.

From there The Dollywood Foundation takes over and manages the system to deliver the books to the home.

Congratulations are in order for Jacob Timmons and the crew of S.D. Professionals, LLC in Sevierville, Tennessee who were recently named "People's Choice" for the 2010 Telly Awards!
This prestigious award was voted on by both the elite panel of Telly judges and by You-Tube viewers across the world.

"We are extremely excited since this was our first RED ONE 4K production at Dollywood and our first time being up for a Telly Award. Then to take home the award, well that for us is simply incredible. We definitely want to send a special thanks to the Telly judges and to the wonderful people who took the time to vote for us!" said Jacob Timmons, President of S.D. Professionals, LLC.

Timmons, along with his hand selected industry professionals, recorded the live performance of Dollywood's original gospel quartet, the Kingdom Heirs, in the Showstreet Palace Theatre. Celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year at Dollywood's Adventure Park in Pigeon Forge, TN, the Kingdom Heirs deliver world-class entertainment in “Live At Dollywood.” The entire show was captured using S.D. Professional's new RED ONE 4K cameras and then edited to both SD and HD video.
In the past, to shoot a live production would require multiple video cameras as well as still camera photographers to capture moments for print collateral needs such as album covers, posters, and more. Shooting with the new RED ONE 4K cameras, S.D. Professionals was able to record amazing 4K quality video while simultaneously capturing every second of the performance in high resolution still images (up to 60 high resolution stills per second) which were then used to design all print collateral.

Dolly's Imagination Library nominates SD Professionals
